A new kitchen is one of the most rewarding gifts you can give yourself and your family. Popular kitchen decoration themes include the home and country decor which gives your kitchen that warm old-fashioned and homey feel. Kitchen islands have been in vogue for years. A kitchen island can be a cheap and attractive way to expand your counter space. An island can also help you add a second sink, dishwasher, or oven to your kitchen.

For planning and design purposes, kitchen-island sizing is a function of the amount of space you must provide around each side of the island. Different designers may tell you different dimensions, but 3 feet is always a good distance to allow between the edge of any side of the island and any other adjacent wall, cabinet or appliance.

Warm blues and browns as well as checkered patterns and flowers usually dominate the color and design scheme of the home and country theme. Wooden countertops and kitchen cabinets whether painted or varnished are definitely right at home with the home and country kitchen decoration. There are many components in the kitchen that should be unique style; it can give good atmosphere for cooking. Sometime people like to have theirs meal in the kitchen that makes them have good feeling and more relax in the morning.

Wooden countertops has its own limitation. Ideal recommendation would be to use granite or marble for kitchen countertops which has its own advantages.
I went with granite when I remodeled my kitchen last year. I really regret not trying the quartz that I preferred. I let the Lowe’s guy talk me out of it.
