My Powder room (toilet and vanity) needs updating. The room measures 3 feet x 6 feet. The sink and cabinet currently runs the width of the room 3 feet and is 21 1/2 inches deep. I do not want a Pedestal sink as I need some storage. Does the replacement sink/vanity need to be 3 feet or can I put a free standing cabinet less than 3 ft, with legs in its place?

I think a free standing cabinet is better, it is convenient..
